Wisdom learning in the context of adult development and our current crisis situation

The talk will discuss possibilities for wisdom learning as part of an integral approach to adult development related to our current crisis situation.  Based on the urgent need for wisdom learning (Küpers & Gunnlaugson, 2017), it will show the significance of embodied wise forms of relation practice (Küpers 2013) and developmental models for integrating wisdom in education (Rooney et al., 2020).  In particular, the focus will be on the transformative potential of incorporated ethical and aesthetic dimensions for developing practical wisdom in education (Küpers, 2017).  In concluding, specific theoretical and practical implications as well as overarching perspectives on the nexus of wisdom and adult learning in times of crisis will be offered.
